Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How does the software for Physio-On-Hold work?

  • We use 'State of the Art' messaging software with Physio On Hold to produce a powerful and flexible on hold experience.  This software is a computer controlled telephone on hold messages and music player. The software automatically mixes and plays messages and music that, when you plug in your telephone system, will play to your callers while they are on-hold or being transferred. This main advantage of using a computer is automation (eg. date sensitive messages, easy message suspension) and greater user control.

Q. What equipment do I need to use the Physio On Hold Message System?

  • For a traditional telephone system you will need:

A Windows computer.
A soundcard with a sound out or speaker socket.  Most modern computers should have this.
A telephone system with a hold facilty.
A cable to connect this computer to the messages on-hold socket. This usually is supplied with the telephone system but if not they can usually be purchased inexpensively from your local electronics store.
If you are uncertain about the last 2 points, we recommend you consult with your telephone system supplier.

Q. How do I know if my telephone system will work with the Physio On Hold System?

  • Almost all modern telephone systems have the MOH port and cable required to use our software system. If you have anything else connected on-hold at the moment then this system will almost certainly work.  If you are in doubt  - call your telephone system supplier and ask if the system you have has a MOH socket for on-hold.

Q. Is it possible to load our own music or messages other than what is offered by you?

  • Yes, you can import wav, mp3 audio files from your computer or from CD. You can also record your own messages and music.
